Mackay City Ford’s Service Centre offers a full range of automotive services. These include scheduled maintenance through to major overhauls and rebuilds. Mackay City Ford’s Service Department strives to exceed the expectations of our clients by providing our clients with professional motoring advice, first grade factory trained Technicians, superior customer facilities and outstanding customer service.

Mackay City Ford’s Factory Trained Technicians are regularly provided with advanced up to date training direct from the manufacturer, utilising Genuine Parts and Accessories and perform your motor vehicle's service using the latest technology and tools. This will ensure your motor vehicle is kept in optimum condition for enhanced driving, better safety and resale value.

Appointments:

If you have any special needs or urgent appointments please advise the Service Advisor prior to your booking so arrangements can be made to assist. When dropping your vehicle off for your appointment, be sure to check all jobs required are listed on your repair order. Only the jobs listed will be attended to on the day. This is very important because any previous conversations you may have had with sales staff or anyone else in the dealership may not have been passed on to the service staff.

We recommend that you check the Service Advisor has the correct contact details when booking in your vehicle in case further contact is required. A mobile number and email address are essential for effective communication. At this time the Service Advisor will confirm with you the required collection time.

If you are the driver of a fleet managed vehicle or corporate vehicle, the work undertaken at your service will be very basic in line with your Fleet Manager’s requirements. Additional work like lubrication of catches, engine washing and vehicle washing will not be carried out on your vehicle unless specifically requested and approved via a purchase order. Please advise the Service Advisor upon making your appointment if it is a fleet vehicle or covered by a corporate plan.

Client Waiting Lounge

As well as the very latest in equipment and diagnostics, our service department also offers you a comfortable waiting area, tea and coffee facilities, magazines, newspapers and television, courtesy Wi-Fi to surf the web or check your email.

Early Bird Check In

If you're an early bird you can drop your vehicle off to us before we open!

You must have your vehicle booked in to take advantage of our early bird service. Drive into the entrance of our Service Department in Nelson Street and leave your vehicle parked in the car park immediately in front of the Ford Service Department. Fill out the envelope located in the Early bird box outside our service department and put this and your keys in the early bird box. We will contact you when your vehicle is ready. Very Easy!

Loan Vehicle for Services or Repairs

The loan car is supplied free of any hire car fees, however you will be required to pay a fee of $45.00 (gst inc) on the day. This all-inclusive fee will cover your fuel usage (up to 50 kilometres) and reduce the insurance excess from $1950.00 to zero. You can opt to only pay for fuel used, however the full insurance excess of $1950.00 will apply if the vehicle sustains any damage while in your possession, regardless of who is at fault.

We recommenced you pre-book your loan vehicle to ensure availability on the day of your service.

It is conditional that the Loan vehicle is returned on the same day unless pre-arranged with the Service Department. This ensures customers who have pre-booked a vehicle for the following day are not inconvenienced.

Customers must supply proof of a full driver’s licence. A photocopy will be taken confirming your licence details.

Insurance Excess is $1950 incl. GST (Excess may vary according to your age).
